We celebrated the Hindu Festival of Diwali. It is a festival of lights that celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil.
Our Breakfast Club was set up on April 24th 2000.
Our volunteers work behind the scenes from 8.00 a.m. to make sure that all is prepared for the pupils arrival at 8.40 a.m. Monday to Friday. All pupils are welcome to visit for a healthy breakfast of cereals, fruit, toast and juice. What a great way to begin the day!
Volunteers Mary Byrne, Ann-Marie Murphy and Barbara Brien run the Breakfast Club brilliantly. Every occasion is celebrated, every birthday remembered. There are also many opportunities to win prizes for art and writing competitions and there are raffles for everything but the kitchen sink… Yes, we have checked and the sink is still there!
It’s hard to believe that the Breakfast Club has been going strong for eighteen years now. A huge thanks to our dedicated volunteers for all the time and energy involved!
