School Uniform

St. Brigid’s S.G.N.S. has an official school uniform. It consists of:

  • Navy jumper/cardigan with school crest
  • Blue check pleated skirt/pinafore
  • White blouse, shirt or polo shirt
  • St. Brigid’s school tie
  • Appropriate footwear (low heeled shoes, etc.)

Please ensure that the school uniform is worn on all school days (except P.E. days). P.E. days are generally Mondays and Thursdays.

On P.E. days, children wear:

  • School tracksuit/Navy tracksuit with school crest
  • White polo shirt
  • Runners/trainers

Runners / trainers must be suitable for sports, with high-grip soles. If your child has difficulty tying laces, please ensure that they have velcro fasteners, to make life easier!

The uniform skirt and tie may be purchased at McAloons, 63 Main Street, Finglas Village (Telephone: 01 864 1931). Crest badges are available to purchase in the school shop. Although they may be ironed on, we would advise to stitch around the edge. They are usually placed on the left side of the jumper / tracksuit top.

Children may wear a watch and stud earrings. No other jewellery is permitted for health and safety reasons. No make-up, coloured nail polish / false nails or transfers allowed.

Please make sure all clothing is clearly labelled. Jumpers, cardigans, tracksuits, ties, coats and jackets are clearly marked. Please also label other personal belongings, e.g. lunchbox, pencil case and all items of stationery. The school cannot be held responsible for missing items. For personal safety, please label your child’s schoolbag on the inside.

Our Motto

“Together let’s live for today and learn for tomorrow”

was created along with our crest in 2012 and both continue to be as relevant today as they were then.
