Engineers Week 2022

Our school community was very excited about Engineering Week.

We held a competition to see who could build the best tower. The tower had to be at least 50cm tall and able to withstand a strong wind. Extra marks were given for imaginative structures and use of recycled materials.

You can see some of our winners below. The standard was amazing and we want to commend our students and thank parents for their support!

Marine Environment GreenSchools

We are working on the Marine Environment Green Flag. As part of this 6th Class took part in a waterways competition. They designed 3D models of how the water around our shores should be used and protected.

GreenSchools

We were delighted to receive our 6th Green Flag. This was in recognition of our work on the theme of Energy and Global Citizenship. We were awarded our flag in an online ceremony.

Storytelling

We were very lucky to have a visit from storyteller Neil De Burca. He amazed us with his stories of the Northern lights, Estonia and local Irish tales. You can watch more of his stories at  https://storyteller.ie/blog/category/videos/

was created along with our crest in 2012 and both continue to be as relevant today as they were then.
