Today we had our last Literacy For Fun Day. We’ve really enjoyed the last few weeks.
The pupils from Room 4 had a nice break with parents/guardians and our HSCL Coordinator, Niamh Forristal over the past few weeks:
The older boys in Room 11 have been learning about Limericks. We learned about the things that make Limericks different to other poems and we even tried writing some ourselves! Here are some of our Limericks:
There was a young man from Clare
He met with an angry bear
When he saw his face
He was shocked and disgraced
Because of his furry hair.
There was a tall girl from Spain
She went out one day in the rain
She got soaking wet
And looked like my pet
And she grew a very big mane.
was created along with our crest in 2012 and both continue to be as relevant today as they were then.
